The final paragraph currently reads:
E-mailed URLs expire if they are not used within a certain period of time. If this is the case, or if you have problems receiving the validation email, see http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=11 for instructions on having another one sent to you.
I would like to see the final paragraph say the following:
Validation URLs expire if they are not used within one week of them being sent. If it has been over one week since the confirmation e-mail was sent to you, or if you are having problems receiving the validation e-mail in general, please see http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=11 for instructions on having another one sent to you. The e-mail you receive will contain a new validation URL which you can then use to finalize your account set-up.
There's no reason to say "within a certain period of time", since we know that it expires after one week. It also doesn't make sense to say "e-mailed URLs" rather than "validation URLs", because the other links within the confirmation e-mail will still work for the user after one week has passed.
Also, I've noticed another inconsistency in many FAQs, including this one. Is "e-mail" or "email" preferred? The elements of style post doesn't seem to say. I like "e-mail" myself, but the FAQs use both variations. As always, I'm willing to run through the FAQs and find all places where it would need to be changed, if everyone decides it should be.
