Perhaps the status page could include a procedure for reporting outages? With the site down, I couldn't figure out how to report the outage. Plus, contextually driven help is the most useful.
Looking at the FAQs (granted I'm on pain medication right now, so I'm a bit foggy), I still can't figure out how to report such problems. And I know I've seen instructions somewhere before... Perhaps a FAQ should go under "About LiveJournal."
