The "How can I help?" FAQ doesn't mention translation with a single word... perhaps we should add something about that?
Suggestion:
If you speak English as well as another language fluently, and you feel confident enough with your skills, you may help translate LiveJournal into other languages. See http://www.livejournal.com/translate/teams.bml for a list of all the translation teams that are currently established as well as their respective communities. Translators should also join lj_translate (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=lj_translate) which is also where you should post if you wish to create a translation into a new language.
