You will also need to give the community password to the new maintainer, at which time they may wish to change the password (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=18).
1) Shouldn't the new maintainer also change the community's e-mail address?
2) Is it possible for the old maintainer to retrieve the community's password even after a new e-mail address has been validated for it? I know this is possible with personal accounts, and I know this was not possible when the change_community_owner (or something) console command still existed, but what about now?
3) The above-quoted paragraph isn't really entirely accurate, is it? I know it's nitpicky, but the new maintainer doesn't need to be told the password; they can change the e-mail address for the community and then retrieve the password themselves. Maybe it is more important to mention that the maintainer should change the community's e-mail address?
