Idea for new FAQ

I was wondering what people thought about writing an FAQ explaining how to check if LiveJournal is aware of a problem or how to check up on LJ's status. I believe this would be helpful to read before people flood lj_support with requests.

The FAQ would include information on, news, lj_maintenance, etc, and other places that would give a user information on a NEW issue before a notice is put up in the Known Issues box. Just a general education article on how to get the latest info when LJ is malfunctioning (like yesterday).

Do you think this would be something that would benefit users? Would it be worth writing something up?
