So I'm proposing to add a new faqcat, "Basic Answers", which will appear at the top of the FAQ. It will contain one FAQ, which will be called "Quick Guide to LiveJournal" or something like that, which contains the following information:

Find more information on any of these options, or on something that isn't listed here?
See the entire LiveJournal FAQ at http://www.livejournal.com/support/faq.bml.
And then, once I can bribe the appropriate people, change the FAQs so that we can have "simple" and "detailed" versions of each FAQ, and etc. etc as I proposed here. But in the meantime, this would be a good compromise, not add too many new FAQs that would just have to be deleted if/when we get simple/detailed, and address the problem relatively quickly.
Comments/thoughts/improvements/etc? What else should be in here? What shouldn't be in here?
