Add "HTML Frames is the only embedding method available to free users. All other methods of embedding require a paid account. If you are interested in further customization of your embedded journal, you may want to consider purchasing a paid account (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=21)."
http://www.livejournal.com/developer/embedding.bml
"Note that embedding is a paid account feature, and so these instructions will not work for users with free accounts."
should incorporate wording from the FAQ to become
"Paid accounts can use any of the methods listed on this page to embed their journal into their website and can use customview.cgi to customize the appearance of their embedded journal by creating a custom style, as explained at http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=128 .
Free accounts can only embed their journal using the HTML frames method (http://www.livejournal.com/developer/embedding.bml?method=frameslayers) and are limited to using the same style for both their journal on LiveJournal and their embedded journal. If you have a free account, but would like to customize your embedded journal or use the other embedding methods, you will need to purchase a paid account (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=21)"
should become
Add to the other embedding pages (JavaScript, CGI, etc)
"This information is only relevant to Paid users. Free accounts can embed their journal using the HTML frames method (http://www.livejournal.com/developer/embedding.bml?method=frameslayers). If you have a free account, but would like to use the other embedding methods, you will need to purchase a paid account (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=21)"
(I hope http://www.livejournal.com/users/developer/embedding.bml is not the same patchy situation as http://www.livejournal.com/support/help.bml)
Edit: Since Free Users can apparently use most methods of embedding, then the FAQ should be revised to indicate that. It currently says "Paid accounts can use any of the methods listed at that page to embed their journal into their website...Free accounts can only embed their journal using the HTML frames method".
