[troubleshooting] 12-hour and 24-hour time

FAQ 33 was recently changed and now reads, in part:

If you are manually entering the time of an entry, please note that the Update Journal page uses a 24-hour clock and that LiveJournal does not provide a way to change the clock to 12-hour time.

Should this be clarified to say that you can't change the clock to 12-hour time on the Update Journal page? Because you can certainly do so on your journal itself, at least in S1 (with overrides).

I've often answered requests on "how do I switch my journal to 12-hour time" with "your journal already shows 12-hour time, so you're fine on that count; however, on the Update Journal page, you have to enter the time using the 24-hour clock, and you can't change that", so I think a distinction should be drawn.

Perhaps wording along these lines?

If you are manually entering the time of an entry, please note that the Update Journal page uses a 24-hour clock and that LiveJournal does not provide a way to change the clock on the Update Journal page to 12-hour time. This means that if you enter "8:00", LiveJournal will interpret this as 8 AM; in order to have 8 PM instead, you will need to enter "20:00". Depending on the style of your journal, you can choose to have the time displayed using a 12-hour clock on your journal; in this case, the time would appear as "8:00 pm".

Not sure where to link to. The appropriate memories seem to be this one (S2) (which says that only The Boxer can customise this) and this one (S1) (for pretty much all S1 styles).

Thoughts?
