LiveJournal will display your entries in reverse-chronological order, meaning that your newest entry will display first. While this behavior cannot be changed, there are several workarounds to create this effect in your journal.
Each style system has different ways of accomplishing this:
STYLE SYSTEM 1 (S1)
In the S1 style system, you can use an override to redirect your journal's visitors to the first entry you have made. Your journal's visitors can then navigate to each proceeding day or entry individually. See the following tutorial for instructions: http://www.livejournal.com/community/howto/29277.html.
STYLE SYSTEM 2 (S2)
In the S2 style system, you can reverse the display of entries on each given page. For example, if you have 20 entries on your page before skipping back, it will show your most recent 20 entries in reverse order. This customization requires a paid account.
Tutorials can be found in the Reversing the order of the entries memory category of the s2howto journal. Be sure to select the correct tutorial to match your journal's style.
