TITLE: How do I change the title of my journal?
You can specify a title and subtitle for your journal at http://www.livejournal.com/editinfo.bml, under the "LiveJournal Options" section. The title and subtitle will display on your userinfo page. Also, the title, subtitle, and friends page title will be used on your journal, although different styles use these titles in different combinations and different places.
STYLE SYSTEM 1
S1 styles have access to the title, but not to the subtitle information. Styles may display the title as part of the journal appearance, in the browser's title bar, or both.
In many system styles, it is also possible to use overrides to change what appears in the browser's title bar. Information on doing this can be found at http://www.livejournal.com/community/howto/548.html, along with a list of styles it will not work for.
Paid, Permanent, and Early Adopter accounts also have the option of creating a custom style to include the title or change where it displays. Custom styles can also include the text of the subtitle, although you will need to edit the style if you change your subtitle in the future.
STYLE SYSTEM 2
Different S2 layouts will use the title, subtitle, and friends page title in different ways. Not all layouts will use all of these elements.
Paid, Permanent, and Early Adopter accounts have the option of creating a custom layer or style. Information on changing what appears in the browser's title bar can be found at http://www.livejournal.com/community/s2howto/4398.html
