xmp

In http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=72
You can use any of the following HTML 'tags' within a LiveJournal posting or comment: [snip] <xmp>

I just want to point out the XMP tag was obsolete in HTML 2 and has been ever since -- user agents are only required to support it for backwards compatibility, and it shouldn't be used in any new documents.. I'm just wondering, am I the only person who thinks it should be at least removed from the list?

While I'm thinking about it, maybe LJ could implement something to convert the XMP tags to PRE tags..? but that doesn't belong here.. I don't even know if this does.

(sorry for being such a HTML nazi)
