I think the following should be added to the very beginning of FAQ #55: How do I get started?:
"Before you can create an account, you must obtain an account creation code, either (1) from a current user or (2) by paying for one. See http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=104 for instructions."
Then the word "First" should be replaced with, "Once you have your code."
